From the very start, CCCOER recognized the power of the student voice in driving the OER movement, and to this day has continued to keep benefitting students as a driving goal. I remember attending some of the very first meetings of the consortium, and while none of us knew just what the future would be, there was a palpable sense that CCCOER was the start something great that would help shape the future of OER in community colleges. A decade later community colleges are on the forefront of the OER movement, and CCCOER has been an unflagging source of support for efforts that are benefitting students across North America.
